Seventh dry-cargo vessel of "Heydar Aliev" type was put into operation for Palmali group
On November, 10, 2006 the seventh multi-purpose dry-cargo motor ship "Zarifa Alieva" with two full-circled rudder propellers was put into operation at Volgograd shipyard (Vlaymyr Prudyius is a general director) which is included in group of the companies "Marine and oil-and-gas projects" (MOP). Vessel's deadweight is of 6970 tons.
Vessel is of "Volgo-Don Max" type/ She was built for Palmali group (Mubariz Mansimov is a general director). First six vessels of a series are successfully operated by Palmali group for transportation of grain in Mediterranean and Black Seas.
Vessel's project is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
006RSD05 prj. vessel is one of the biggest Russian dry-cargo vessels which satisfy all the requirements for permanent operation through Volga-Don canal.
The vessel will be operated for transportation of general, bulk, timber, grain and large-sized cargoes, 8'.5 and 9' ISO containers, dangerous goods of 1, 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 classes of IMDG Code and cargoes of category B of BC Code. Sailing regions are Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, White, North Seas, including voyages around Europe and to Irish Sea in winter.
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class notation of the project is of KM LU1 II A1. The project satisfies all the requirements of international conventions which were actual at the laying down of the vessel's keel.
Vessel's overall length is of 139.63 m, overall breadth is of 16.70 m, breadth without taking into account side fenders is of 16.50 m, depth is of 6.00 m.
Summarized capacity of cargo holds is of 11408 cub. m, deadweight in the sea is of 6970 tons, deadweight with the river draught of 3.60 m is of 4580 tons, total container capacity is of 274 TEU, holds' container capacity is of 204 TEU.
All holds are box-shaped, smooth-wall, convenient for carrying out the freight works and placing a cargo without shifting. The cargo holds' sizes are of 29.9x13.2 (hold Nos. 2, 3, 4) and 15.6x13.2 m (hold No. 1) with the height of 8.4 m.
Cargo holds are equipped with sectional hatch covers of folding type with possibility of 100% opening.
Cruising speed is of 10.5 kn, speed is of 11.9 kn in test. Two medium-speed diesels (main engine) of 1120 kWt each use heavy fuel oil with viscosity of IFO380.Heavy fuel stores are placed in deep-tanks in area of the ER fore bulkhead, separated from outside water by double bottom and double sides.
Movement and manoeuvrability is provided by two stern full-circle rudder propellers with fixed-pitch propellers (diameter is of 1950 mm) in nozzles.
Sea sailing autonomy is of 15 day, river sailing autonomy is of 10 day. Crew consists of 12 persons (14 places).
Designed vessel hull' life term is of 24 years. The double bottom is designed for distributed load intensity of 10 t/m² that allows to use a bucket grab with cargo-lifting capacity 16 tons.
In 2004 project 006RSD05 was included in "Significant ships" list by RINA (Royal Institution of Naval Architects) as first vessels of this type with full-circle rudder propellers.
Vessel's "Zarifa Alieva" (building number is of 227) keel was laid down on 24.12.04. She was launched on 26.09 and was put into operation on 10.11.06.06.
