Vessel's name is Almahmoud-2.
Vessel's technical-working project (LSC01) is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau.
The vessel is assigned for transportation of livestock (7500 units of cattle and 5700 units of sheep) on 10 decks on routes South America - Middle East and Australia - Middle East.
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class notation of the project is of KM Livestock carrier.
Vessel is steel multiple (ten) deck single-screw motorship, with overall length of 149.9 m, breadth of 22.8 m, with full length superstructure (depth to f'castle deck is of 22.96 m), aft engine-room, deckhouse and wheelhouse amidship, with double bottom, with bulbous bow and transom stern, with excess freeboard.

In the after part of vessel there are single 5.25 m diameter 5-blade fixed pitch propeller made from Ni-Al bronze and single streamlined pendant semi-balanced 22 sq.m area rudder. For improvement of controllability at low speeds, at passing narrow waters and at moorings two bow electrical thrusters "screw in a pipe" with controllable pitch propellers with nominal thrust of 10 t are foreseen.
Crew consists of 30 persons (actually vessel's crew) and 30 persons for livestock service ("cowboys"). 2 Life boats with 65 person capacity of each are installed.
There are created favourable conditions for safe and secure cattle transportation including sufficient for 2 meals a day quantity of feed and supply sufficient quantity of drinking water, and also special systems for automatic feeding and fresh water, rejections and flows remove, livestock compartments ventilation.
Loading and unloading of livestock is implemented through side doors with removable outboard inclined gangways. Vessel's loading begins from lower decks towards upper decks. Silo loading begins after livestock loading. Unloading proceeds inversely, from upper decks towards lower decks.
