Onega shipyard put into operation the eleventh vessel of "Karelia" type
On October, 15 2009 the Onega shipyard (Vladimir Mayzus is a general director) put into operation the eleventh multi-purpose dry cargo river-sea going vessel of "Karelia" type with deadweight in the river/sea of 3330/5490 tons with two full-circle rudder propellers.
Vessel's name is "Vladimir Noskov".
Dry-cargo vessel project 005RSD03 is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
"Vladimir Noskov" is the seventh vessel in the series which was modified for work on heavy fuel with viscosity till 380 cSt (masout).
The vessel was re-classified from R2-RSN class notation up to higher class notation of R2.
The customer also has modified the first five vessels of the series for work on heavy fuel.
Project belongs due to MEB internal classification to the vessels which are destined for "Sormovskiy" / "Volga-Balt" type replacement.
Vessel "Vladimir Noskov" is assigned for transportation of general, bulk, timber, grain and large-sized cargoes, 8'.5 and 9' ISO containers, dangerous goods of 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 classes and cargoes of category B of BC Code. The vessel is going to be used on internal waterways of the Russian Federation's European part, including Volga-Don canal and Volga-Baltic way, and also in sea areas according vessel's class, including operation in Baltic, North, Black, Azov, Caspian and Mediterranean Seas.
Vessel's Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class notation is of KM Ice2 R2 AUT3.
Overall length is of 108.3 m, length between perpendiculars is of 102.2 m, breadth is of 16.5 m, depth is of 5.5 m.
Deadweight is of 5490 tons when sea draught is of 4.792 m. Deadweight is of 3330 tons with the draught of 3.60 m in the river.
Capacity of three cargo holds is of 7840 cub. m.
All holds are box-shaped, smooth-wall, convenient for carrying out the freight works and placing a cargo without stowing. The cargo holds' sizes are of 21.45x12.7 m (hold No. 1), 27.3x12.7 (hold No. 2) and 26.55x12.7 m (hold No. 3) while the height is of 8.3 m.
Hatch covers are of removable type (with gantry crane of Yuriy Vorobtov's project).
Crew consists of 9 persons (11 places).
Cruising speed is of 11.5 knots. Capacity of main engines is of 2x1020 kWt.
Movement and manoeuvrability of the vessel is provided by two stern full-circle rudder propellers with fixed-pitch propeller in nozzles. The drive from main engines to rudder propellers is carried out through mechanical Z-gearing.
Designed vessel hull's life term is of 24 years. Ship steel of category RSD with a yield limit of 235 MPa was accepted for basic hull constructions.
Double bottom is designed for distributed load intensity of 7.5 t per sq.m that allows to use a bucket grab with cargo-lifting capacity 16 tons.
Autonomy in sea is of 20 days, in river it is of 15 days.
Vessel's keel (building No. is of 011) was laid down on 03.12.07. She was launched on 24.12.08. Vessel was put into operation on 15.10.09.
It is supposed to build twelve vessels of this project in total.
This moment First five vessels "Rossiyanin", "Ukrainets", "Beloroos", "Kazakh", "Karel", also 7th, 8th and 10th ones "Vasiliy Klimov", "Kapitan Abakumov" and "Kapitan Konkin" are successfully used by Orion Shipping Company, including for voyages around the Europe.
The 6th and 9th ones "Nikolay Klinov" and "Mekhanik Kovalenko" works in Albros Shipping Company (Raim Alekperov is a director).
