Brief totals of Marine Engineering Bureau 2008 work


19 new vessels and 2 vessels after considerable re-equipment were built and put into operation due to Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB) projects during 2008. Summarized these vessels' deadweight is of 132 000 tons.
 
12 multi-purpose dry-cargo vessels (006RSD02, 005RSD03, 003RSD04, 005RSD06, RSD11, RSD12, RSD19, DCV22, DCV33 prjs.) 5 product-chemical tankers (RST22 and RST09 prjs),1 train-ferry for Black Sea (CNF03 prj.), 1 Arctic voyage bulk carrier (BC14 prj.), 1 passenger vessel (PV01 prj.) and 1 harbor tug (TG03 prj.) were built.
 
Moreover, 4 multi-purpose dry-cargo vessels (005RSD06, RSD08, DCV16, DCV33 prjs) and 1 train-ferry for Black Sea (CNF06 prj.) are being completed after launching. Summarized these vessels' deadweight is of 28 000 tons.
 
Vessels were built at the Russian shipyards (6 dry-cargo vessels and 5 tankers), Ukrainian shipyards (4 dry-cargo vessels, 2 ferries, 1 passenger vessel, 1 tug boat), Turkish shipyards (4 dry-cargo vessels) and Chinese shipyards (2 dry-cargo vessels and 1 bulk carrier).
 
2008 is stage year for MEB. The complicated special purpose vessels' designing began, including:
 
• marine multi-purpose rescue vessel - diesel - motor ship - ice breaker with the capacity of 7 MWt for the Far East and for Arctic Ocean (MPS06 prj.) for Marine and River Transport Federal Agency of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation;
• marine multi-purpose rescue vessel - diesel - motor ship - ice breaker with the capacity of 4 MWt for Black and Azov Seas and Caspian Sea regions (MPS07 prj.) for Marine and River Transport Federal Agency of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation;
• marine diving vessel (SDS08 prj.) for Marine and River Transport Federal Agency of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation;
• small draught icebreaking tug (TG04 prj.) for the port of Dudinka for OJSC "Norilskiy Nikel";
• small draught supplying tug (TG05 prj.) for Caspian Sea;
• buoy-laying vessel with ramp (BLV01 prj.) for Gulf of Finland for FSUC "Rosmorport";
• multi-purpose supplying vessel (DCV47 prj.) for Kamchatka for Marine and River Transport Federal Agency of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation;
• hopper self-dumping barge (HB02 prj.) for Ukraine state company "Ukrvodshlyakh".
