Second tanker of New Armada type with deadweight of 7050 tons was put into operation for Palmali group at "Krasnoe Sormovo" shipyard


"Krasnoe Sormovo" shipyard (Nikolay Zharkov is a general director) is included in group of companies "Marine and oil-and-gas projects" (MOP). On August 20, 2008 the second product and chemical IMO2 tanker "NASIBA ZEYNALOVA" of the newly built series was put into operation.
 
Palmali group is a shipowner (Mubariz Mansimov is a president of Palmali group).
 
Vessel's "NASIBA ZEYNALOVA" project RST22 is designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (MEB).
 
The vessel's project RST22 is the logical development of 005RST01 prj. tankers with deadweight of 6400 tons, known as "Armadas". "Armadas" prj. were designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau earlier for Palmali group and were built at ADA and SELAH shipyards in Tuzla (Turkey) in 2002-2006.
 
Ten Armada type tankers are successfully maintained on the river-sea and ocean transportations in Caspian, Black, Mediterranean, Baltic and North Seas, including voyages around of Europe and to Irish Sea in winter. They transport crude oil, masout, diesel fuel, other petroleum products and vegetable oils.
 
Using full-circle rudder propellers as movement and manoeuvre facilities, using submersible pump, full absence of a framing in cargo tanks are characteristic features of RST22 and 005RST01 projects vessels. These vessels have no longitudinal bulkhead in CL.
 
Vessels satisfy dimensions of the Volga-Don Canal and Volga-Baltic Way. RST22 prj. vessel' overall length is of 139.95 m, breadth is of 16.6 m, depth is of 6.0 m.
 
Vessels belong to "Volga-Don Max" tankers' type.
 
New project tanker have increased marine function, increased deadweight in marine conditions and increased total cargo tanks capacity with keeping river possibilities in comparison with vessels of "Armada" type.
 
Vessels satisfy all new international requirements for transportation of vegetable oils, including two-compartment unsinkability.
 
Special requirements of the Russian and world petroleum companies, additional ecological limitations "ECO PROJECT" class were taken into consideration during designing.
 
Hull's theoretical forms were defined using methods of hydromechanics (CFD simulation).
 
Total capacity of six cargo tanks and two slop ones is of 8090 cub. m, deadweight is about 7000 tons when sea draught is of 4.60 m. Deadweight is about 4700 tons when river draught is of 3.60 m. Cruising speed is of 10.5 knots.
 
Two medium-speed diesels (main engine) of 1200 kWt each use heavy fuel oil with viscosity of IFO380.
 
Vessel's Russian Maritime Register of shipping class notation is of KM Ice 2 R1 AUT1 COMBO oil tanker/chemical tanker type 2 (vegetable oil) (ESP) ECO DESING.
 
Keel of "NASIBA ZEYNALOVA" (building number is of 07001) was laid down on 26.04.2007. She was launched on 31.05.2008 and was put into operation on 20.08.08.
 
In the series ten tankers are supposed to build, as well as in "Armada" series.
