The first RST11 tanker is departed for the voyage, the agreement among GTLK, Nefteflot, Petrotanker and Volgotrans on the continuation of construction
On 1st of June 2018 in Samara, Petrotanker shipping company solemnly put into operation the lead RST11 tanker "Svyatoy Knyaz Vladimir" with marine/river deadweight of 6586/4677 t.
The vessel was constructed by the Nefteflot Shipyard (director Vladimir Prudyus) due to order of the State Transport Leasing Company.
After "Svyatoi Knyaz Vladimir" departure for her first voyage, a solemn signing of agreements took place between the State Transport Leasing Company, the Nefteflot Shipyard and "Petrotanker" and "Volgotrans" shipping companies due to construction of 20 twenty tankers and dry cargo vessels of the mixed river sea type.
Interesting to admit that "Svytoi Knyaz Vladimir" is the first vessel built in Samara since 1896. Shipbuilding returned to the city in 120 years.
RST11 prj. was designed by Marine Engineering Bureau; it is referred to Volga-Don Max class.
As leasing payments for the RST11 tanker named in honor of the Baptist of Russia "Svyatoy Knyaz Vladimir", was used funds get from the state budget by Petrotanker for the recycling of an old tanker of "Volgoneft" type.
Granting of subsidies (the Ship's Recycling Grant) from the federal budget to Russian organizations for refunding part of the costs of acquiring (building) new civil vessels in return for the vessels that have been commissioned for recycling is being made according to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No.502 dd. April 27, 2017.
Petrotanker company has got 71 million rubles subsidy for utilization of the old "Volganeft".
"Svyatoi Knaz Vladimir" is a single-deck, double-screw oil tanker, with double bottom of 1100 mm high at CL, with double sides, with forecastle and poop, with deck-house and ER located aft, with catwalk at CL, with inclined stem and transom stern.
The RST11 tanker is built for the Russian River Register class M-SP 3,5.
The RST11 vessel is intended for mixed (river-sea) and marine transportations of crude oil and petroleum products in bulk, including gasoline, without restrictions for the flash point.
The vessel satisfies the dimensions of the Volga-Don Shipping Canal and the Volga-Baltic Way. The overall length of the RST11 vessel is 131.64 m, the width is 16.5 m, the depth is 5.5 m.
The capacity of eight cargo tanks and two slop tanks is 7042 cub. m. Marine deadweight is about 6586 t at draught 4.477 m, in the river deadweight is about 4677 t at draught 3.60 m. The capacity of ballast tanks is 3215 cub. m.
The output of two cargo pumps is 450 cub. m. per hour each. Two auxiliary steam boilers are of 1 t of steam per hour each.
Two medium-speed diesel engines of 736 kW each are used as main ones. Main engines use MDO, vessel's operational speed is 10.0 kn.
Vessel electrical power plant consists of 3 auxiliary 150 kW diesel-generators and 75 kW emergency diesel-generator.
Crew consists of 15 people, total places onboard are 16.
